Rose Shiner primarily represents financial institutions and other financiers with respect to various aspects of their motion picture and television lending. She assists clients in transactions involving complex multi-source financings, pre-sales of distribution rights, gap financing, domestic and international tax advantaged financings, subsidies and co-production arrangements, mezzanine financing, and other debt and equity financial arrangements. Ms. Shiner also advises borrowers, producers and others involved in various aspects of the production, financing and distribution of film and television projects.

Prior to joining Babok & Robinson, Ms. Shiner was a partner in the finance and media entertainment practice groups with two other large international law firms. Ms. Shiner received her B.S. in Business Administration from the University of San Francisco in 1993 and her J.D. in 1998 from Loyola Law School (Los Angeles, California).

Some of Ms. Shiner’s recent notable engagements include:

Represented Comerica Bank as agent and lender in connection with past and ongoing film production lending, including a $100 Million and $130 Million revolving credit facilities and term loans for Nu Image;
Represented various financial institutions and other clients in connection with the financing of the following recent films and television projects: American Hustle, Expendables 3, Olympus Has Fallen, The Legend of Hercules, Eliza Graves, Good People, Automata, Secret Service, I, Alex Cross, Jobs, Homefront, Killing Season, Voices, Survivor, Heat, The Host, Arbitrage, All Is Lost, When Calls the Heart and Sabotage.
